Life Lessons

A few weeks ago in Marketing we had Toastmaster's and the topic for this week was life lessons.
Now that I think about it, I have learned a few life lessons.

Believe in yourself - If you believe in yourself, then anything can happen.

Everything happens for a reason - If something is meant to happen, it will; maybe not at the moment, but in the future it will. I believe if God wanted it to happen that way, then there's nothing else we can do, but let him handle it.

Like everyone, trust no one - I like everyone, but it doesn't mean that I'm going to tell them my life story or trust them with my personal problems. I've made too many mistakes where I've trusted people that I thought were my friends, but stabbed me right in the back. I'm sick of it and I'm done.

You're not invincible - Anything can happen to anyone.

Live life to the fullest - You're life can be taken away at any second, there's no point in being depressed about something stupid. Live every day like it's your last. Make the most of the day.

Forgive and forget - I know it's so easy to forgive people (well for me at least), but there's always things I'll never forget for the rest of my life...but I'm learning to just let it go.

Time will heal everything - As time goes on, you grow up and learn from the mistake or know that you'll be fine with whatever happened.

17th Birthday!

So January 29th marked my 17th year of being alive. (Haha wow that sounded lame) Anyways it was a pretty normal day, nothing special really happened. It was fun at school. Joseph sang a "Happy Birthday" solo to me. It was so funny. In the Bullseye, Sam was playing his cd's and one of them was Rage Against the Machine. He basically played it all hour. I eventually noticed that they are pretty good. Haha I love them now. Then after school, Tanna took me to Bahama Bucks. It was amazing. I got a strawberry cheesecake Bahama mama rama thing. Funny story, so we were looking at the menu board thing and it was kinda up high, so since I'm short I have to look higher to see the menu so I asked Tanna if her neck ever hurts from looking up and she was like no because she's tall and doesn't have to look up that much. It was hilarious. Then I went to Old Chicago for dinner. Ahhh they have theee best fettuccine alfredo ever! That was like the first time that I've ever gotten full. Haha.
Then Friday was so fun! In Marketing when we were choosing what the topic was going to be for Toastmaster's for next week it was between hair color and the superbowl. Me and Tanna were telling Mason to vote for hair color since he voted for it last time, but nooooo he voted for the superbowl. If he voted for hair color it would've been a tie, then we'd have to re vote then maybe hair color would've won. It was Mason's vote that changed everything. Haha oh and Sam's vote too. Boys...Haha jk. Then Charisse was saying phrases then Mason would have to finish them. So Charisse was like "short people are....." then Mason was like "pretty & cool". Haha awwww<3>
Mason(: Devon, Hector, and idk maybe some other people. Probably going to Orange Groves and climb the windmills. Haha then sneak up on the roof of the Marriot, then go back to Tanna's house. Hot tubbing? Ah another thing I forgot, k well me and Tanna totally got Punk'd during lunch! So we were in the Bullseye warming up our food in the microwave and this guy comes up and is like, "How do you work the microwave?" Then Tanna and I explained to him how to punch in how much time to warm up food. Haha then I was like "we just got punk'd!" because first of all who doesn't know how to work a microwave, really? Second, we usually never feel smart, so that was like the first time ever that we have. Haha oh and we tried talking without saying the word 'like'. It's so hard. Haha try it sometime.
So Friday night our plans changed. Tanna came over and told me well...everything that happened earlier that night then we both started crying, then laughing of course. Talked about inside jokes and the time we put too much butter in our mac & cheese. Haha and how our Marketing teacher just puts us as one in the grade book and how much she likes us since she never moves us when we talk wayyy more than everyone else. Well after that, Hector picked us up and we went to go watch him and his friends play basketball. Oh and we had a sex ed class. We didn't understand anything, so basically Hector had to explain himself like ten times! Haha he got out and demonstrated a....position. It was right outside a random person's house. Like what if all of a sudden someone was outside your house doing a....demonstration of something well...interesting. Haha.
Then Saturday, Natalie took me to Olive Garden for my birthday. It was so good. Of course I ordered the same thing I always do, fettucine alfredo. I almost forgot to mention our waiter was gorgeous! Haha he was also very prompt. Natalie told him it was my birthday so he got all the waiter's together and they sang happy birthday in Italian. Aww yeah it was cute. Haha he totally understood that I was a very indecisive person since I couldn't decide whether or not I still wanted my salad, but he was cool. Later that night, Hector and Tanna picked us up along with some other people and we went to the Groves. We climbed up the windmill; scariest thing ever! It was totally worth it though. It also looked so pretty from there. Natalie didn't go though cause she was scared. What a girl! Haha jk. Then we drove to the Marriot and climbed up to the roof and had more laughing attacks. We saw some people pointing at us and thought that it was the hotel security or something so we booked it to the elevator and went back to the truck. Haha it ended up being some random couple that were staying at the hotel. Oh and we saw a shooting star<3 From there we dropped off some lame people cause they were being dumb, but whatever. On the way to the drive in we did a chinese fire drill. Totally not as fun as last time. Oh well. Also danced haha "spin that record babe". Haha it's my new dance move, pretty clever. So I learned that at drive in's, it takes forever to get 5 people situated! Trust me. Haha until we decided that laying like "sausages" would work out better and it did! I had to lay on Natalie though...haha awkward! Haha my nose was cold so Tanna warmed it up, it was so funny. Then Natalie's eyebrow itched so I scratced it and she was like, "harder!". Haha then when I had to lay on her she was like "get inbetween my legs". Hahahaha. Wow......Then I had to go home at 11...lame! I swear my curfew should be midnight since that's the city's curfew for teenagers.
Today I went to church. Afterwards me, my mom, and my brother went to Kino. I ran a mile, very surprising since I haven't worked out in a month! The weather was perfect so it made it even better. I think I'm gonna start running every Sunday. Now I'm watching the Superbowl, Cardinals are losing, 10-3. Hopefully they do much better in the second half. It's halftime and Bruce Springsteen is on stage. Ehh....Haha.
OHHHHEMMMGEEE! That game was the most intense game ever. Especially 4th quarter. When the Cardinals passed the ball, the Steelers could've easily intercepted it like 2 times, but luckily they didn't. Cardinals got so lucky, so many times. Unfortunately they lost, but they have no reason to be sad. They went to the Superbowl for the first time ever even when everyone doubted them from the very beginning.
So basically this has been one of the best weekends I've had in awhile, besides the fact that the Cardinals lost. Haha lots of lawbreaking, good memories, and laugh attacks to always remember. Oh can't forget all the ab workouts too.
"Truth be told I miss you, truth be told I'M LYING!" That part of the song has been stuck in my head this whole week. Haha

Attention span of a squirrel.

Alright so its the second week of school and I absolutely love love love my schedule. Marketing is the best. There has not been one day where I hated being in it. Tomorrow is the Eastern Area Conference at MCC which me and Tanna were supposed to compete in, but we backed out at the last second because we were scared after seeing the chick from FIDM test this one guy on a one on one sales presentation. We figured out that we weren't ready and that we don't know anything because basically all we do in that class is talk and laugh. Oh and make a mess. Haha but we'll see if we decide to compete in the competition in March for the fashion and merchandising part. Newspaper is kind of boring, but today we made this really good lemonade. We also have an Australian exchange student and just hearing about all the things in Australia makes me want to go there even more. Next, there's English where we do nothing really. Me and Sarah just talk the whole time, well she does the talking because most of the time I just space out. Haha it sucks having a short attention span :p Then there's the Bulls eye. Yesterday we were putting new price tags on the shelf and Chelsey made the shelf and everything on the shelf fall then we had this guy fix it. He put the shelf together and when we were putting everything back on the shelf, Chelsey made it fall again. It was too funny. I litterally was about to pee in my pants. Besides yesterday, everyday in that class is so fun. From telling stories about air smelling green to hot guys with gages. Oh and being a runner for Sam and getting in trouble because we were to slow. Haha last class of the day is physics, where again we don't do anything. Mrs. Edwards now refers to us girls as lions. Haha oh and today Caleb had his phone out the whole time trying to see if Mrs. Edwards would notice it. She never did even though she looked at him like ten times! Even when he went in the front where she was standing, she didn't notice until he pretended he was talking on the phone.
So there's 15 days until my 17th birthday! I have no idea what to do. But I know for sure during spring break I'm taking Natalie to the beach with me! Yay! I'm stoked. Oh and maybe Six Flags. Haha I'll finally get to see rated R movies, legally. Wow I'm dumb. Haha
The weekend is coming up. Going to Colette's house for the core party. Hmm...maybe make a music video with Devon? For sure going to Olive Garden with her too. Haha. I just remembered there's no school on Monday.
OMG! I forgot about my dream. So lately I've been having really weird dreams. For example I had one about how I was dying. I told my dad to text this one guy for me and tell him that I've always loved him and that I was dying. Talk about scary! Then another one where...well I won't get into that. Haha then I had one last night about Robert Pattinson (the guy who plays Edward in Twlight). I met him and got his autograph, then we started talking a lot. Unfortunately I couldn't dream the ending because Devon called me. Oh well....
In one month it will be Valentines Day. Another day that reminds me that I have no one :( Haha oh well, who needs boys anyway. Jayy Kayy<---- Mine and Joseph's title of our physic's graph. Totally off subject. Can't you tell that through this whole blog I changed the subject like 4 or 5 times? Haha funny funny.

First day back.

Today was the first day back to school for the new year. I have a feeling this is going to be an amazing year, not only because its a new year, but because I actually have real goals set and ready to be accomplished.
Anyways today was fun. Math was ehh....boring. Marketing is always fun especially when one of your best friends sit right in front of you. Laughing about our heads hurting too much from "thinking". Haha. News lab was okay. Lots of new people this year. I'm excited though and I'm pretty sure they'll all bring something new to the class and newspaper. Lunch was okay, kind of boring, it wasn't like usual. English, more like a writing class, was fun. One of the things I love most about Mountain View is the large population of cute boysss(: Haha my next class was the Bulls Eye. I can't wait to earn $10 over the $50 already in the register because then I have money to spend in the store. Yeah it may not seem exciting to you, but it sure is for me. Mostly because I get to have food basically for free. Last, I have physics. We had a substitute today so it was kind of boring. I also switched hours...I'm gonna miss having it fifth hour. The class was boring, but the people in it were so fun. "Extrapolate!" Wow good times. Haha oh and can't forget the physics mirror video that these guys made, which was more like a porno.
I'm sure going to be miss last semester.
Well one of the most important things I've learned this year so far is that time heals everything, seriously. Yeah, just thought I'd share that with ya :)
